He came over from Hamburger SV to Bayer 04 in the summer of 2015 and immediately convinced the coaches with his impressive coolness and ability to disrupt in the inside defense. An absolute gain for the Werkself with his strong tackling and good eye – and an imposing figure on the pitch! No wonder that Jonathan has become a national player with Bayer 04, he has earned three caps under National Team Head Coach Joachim Löw.
