Benny has played for Bayer 04 since the under-8 level, working his way up playing for all the junior teams. He could never imagine in his wildest dreams how successful 2016 would be for him. After his leap to the pros, Head Coach Roger Schmidt switched him from midfield to outside defender position. And it’s been an extremely successful move. This season, he has played completely all of the matches in the Bundesliga and Champions League. As the icing on the cake, Benny made his debut with the German National Team during their 8-0 victory against San Marino. |
