Kevin is also a product of the Leverkusen youth system, joining Bayer 04 at the tender age of seven in 1997. He remained with the club until 2008, then joining other clubs and developing into an international top player under Head Coach Roger Schmidt with Red Bull Salzburg. Kevin transferred to Borussia Dortmund and in the summer of 2015, he returned to his roots. The Slovenian national player plays mostly center back, a tireless contributor for his team and technically talented.
